


Programs
A core program of the Initiative is the Citizens’ Seminar. The Seminar convenes a group of citizens broadly representative our pluralism and with an interest in public policy, government or in working for the betterment of our community (defined in the broadest sense) for a series of interactive workshops focusing on the work of state, national, and local government. The presentations are offered by civic leaders as well as current and former elected and appointed officials who serve as faculty. Discussions are facilitated by trained college students with interest and background in government and public policy.
The inaugural Seminar will be offered in the spring of 2010 on the following dates:
Saturday, March 13th,
Saturday, March 27th
Saturday, April 10th
Wednesday, April 14th
The Saturday sessions meet from 10am to 3pm.
The final session includes presentation of capstone projects and meets from 6pm-8pm.

There is a modest fee of $25.00 for the Seminar.
